Capsules containing Theophylline. Useful in coughs and bronchitis. It is a bronchodilator and also increases mucocilliary clearance – the process of passing anything objectionable from deep in chest to where it can be coughed up. Should not be used in epileptics.
It can rarely cause restlessness, excitement, tummy upsets and increased thirst. So if you notice anything strange stop using it but do not be put off by the above – chronic coughing can be a real nuisance and Corvental does sometimes help.
