Zycortal is now the standard treatment for hypoadrenocorticism - Addisons disease. It is a long acting injection of Desoxycortone pivalate. It is given alongside a glucocorticoid such as Prednisolone. It is proving very satisfactory in the treatment of Addisons, most dogs needed an injection each 28 days.
