Otomax is a treatment for Otitis Externa – ear infection. It contains Gentamicin an antibiotic, Betamethasone an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid and Clotrimazole an antifungal. It is a very useful treatment for serious ear infections. There is often a mixed infection in our patients of bacteria and fungi and otitis is usually very irritating which is when the Betamethasone is so useful.
