An eye cream containing Cyclosporin. Cyclosporin is an immunosuppressant and it also stimulates tear production. It is useful to suppress immune mediated eye diseases such as pannus – Chronic superficial keratitis – an inflammatory disease of especially German Shepherd dogs. It is also very useful in cases of a fairly common condition of dogs eyes called “dry eye” or keratoconjunctivitis sicca. This is a disease of tear production and if there is any tear gland left functioning Optimune will stimulate more tears from it. It is expensive but very useful and remember very little of it is required in the eye to work.
