Abscesses

More common in cats than dogs. Often as a result of fighting whereby a bite takes bacteria fairly deep below the skin surface and within a day or two proliferation of bacteria combined with the bodyʼs response to that infection causes swelling, heat, pain and often lameness if involving a limb. The animal will often run a temperature. Do take your pet to the vet – there is lots that can be done.

Our veterinarians are all experienced general practitioners with a broad knowledge and
understanding of animal health, illness and injury.

Thank you so much for looking after our dear Bron over the last 19 years. Special thanks to Colin and his nurse who were so gentle with Bron and kind to us.

Debbie Nuttall

Just a little thank you for trying so hard for Big Tom.

He had a good life with me, extra time if I hadn’t taken him in.

Such a lovely kindly cat

Thank you again
